The position of the Student & Family Ministries Director (SFMD) sits squarely in that shared identity and mission. The SFMD helps to develop the discipleship of students and their families, ensuring this crucial season of life has a purposeful place within our church.
Ministry Demographic
The SFMD primarily serves families and students in the elementary and middle school age group (1st-8th grade). Secondarily, the SFMD also serves in a coordination role for the discipleship of high school students through the shared ministry of MVC’s partners (e.g. The Roaring Fork Fellows program, Youth for Christ, local churches, etc.)

3. Willingness to adapt and flexibly learn new skills as needed in an evolving ministry context and job description.
4. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, volunteers and MVC’s ministry partners in the Roaring Fork Valley.
5. Ability to work toward conflict resolution and communicate effectively when there is conflict.
6. Initiative to not only take on assigned tasks but actively look for ways to move the student & family ministries of MVC forward.

8. Willingness to listen to and learn from feedback received from supervisors and team members as appropriate.
9. Ability to brainstorm and seek new and effective ways to help create a culture of discipleship among the students and families of MVC.
