The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for overseeing administration and communications at Hope Church. The ideal candidate will be proactive and detail-oriented with strong intuition regarding the logistics of the internal workings of the church. The Administrative Coordinator will take initiative on projects, streamline processes, and foster strong working relationships inside and outside the church. Previous administrative experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration:
- Work with staff to establish rhythms for organizing, planning, and executing details across all HC ministries
- Ensure details are planned with staff with plenty of lead time
- Create web sign-up forms for events and classes
- Communicate to the congregation within an established lead time
- Maintain Hope Church calendar of events and oversee general church email inbox
- Provide administrative assistance with Becoming Hope logistics, Family Sunday, and other Hope Church events as needed
- Order supplies on an as-needed basis – for Sunday morning hospitality and/or events
- Code credit card statement for bookkeeper
- Recruit and manage volunteers and logistics for quarterly Sunday Family Meals
Communications:
- Oversee general communications for Hope Church to keep members informed and up to date including:
- Weekly sermon recording, editing, and upload
- Weekly email distribution
- Social media posting on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Assist staff with creating content for and maintaining regular church correspondence via email, social media, and text
- Oversee and maintain HC website, LinkTree, QR codes, etc.
Hope Church Staff:
- Attend HC staff events on an as-needed basis including (but not limited to)
- Weekly staff meetings
- Annual staff retreat
- Outreach events
QUALIFICATIONS:
Apprenticeship is how we practice the way of Jesus at Hope Church, which involves three things: being with Him, becoming like Him, and doing what He would do if he were us. Therefore, the staff* will model this in the following ways:
BEING
- Committed to spending time regularly abiding in Christ and growing in apprenticeship to Jesus
- Will receive 3 paid Sundays off a year
- 2 Sundays for the express purpose of personal worship/rest
- 1 Sunday for the express purpose of personal development
BECOMING
- Maintaining a healthy relationship with spouse and children (if applicable)
- Develop personal evangelism and discipleship opportunities within and outside the church.
DOING
- Work with the Lead Pastor to set vision-aligning goals for various areas of oversight
- Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of Hope Church staff
- Complete recurring tasks in a timely, professional manner
REPORTS TO: Lead Pastor
WEEKLY HOURS: Part time = approx. 15 hours/week (including Sundays)
*staff are expected to be or become members at Hope Church
