Part-Time Worship Pastor

Arroyo Church | Livermore, CA

Hours: 20 hours/week

Compensation: $40,000/year

Includes health benefits and 403(b) retirement plan

Reports to: Lead Pastor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Worship Leader to serve as the primary leader

and developer of our church’s music ministry. This role is fully dedicated to leading worship and

discipling the music team, helping create a Christ-centered, Spirit-led, and musically excellent

worship experience. In addition, the Worship Leader will oversee and coordinate the church’s

audio/visual ministry, ensuring the technical excellence and smooth execution of all worship services.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead worship for Sunday services and special events

– Plan and lead weekly rehearsals

– Disciple and develop volunteer musicians, vocalists, and tech team members – Curate worship

sets that align with the preaching schedule and spiritual direction of the church

-Coordinate scheduling and communication through Planning Center or similar tools

-Oversee the A/V team, including scheduling, training, and supporting sound, slides, and livestream volunteers

– Maintain and update A/V systems and equipment in collaboration with staff and volunteers

– Ensure all technical aspects of the service (sound, slides, video) are running with excellence

– Foster a culture of spiritual growth, humility, and unity within the worship and production teams

Qualifications:

– A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

– Proficiency in leading worship with guitar or keyboard

– Strong vocal leadership and ability to work with teams

– Prior worship leadership experience preferred

– Familiar with sound systems, ProPresenter, and other A/V tools

-Organized, tech-savvy, and capable of troubleshooting basic A/V issues

-Able to cast vision, communicate clearly, and shepherd volunteers
